Oryxen methodology

Research, not hype.

Oryxen organizes public software information into research paths. A catalogue profile, collection, guide, or Decision Studio result is a starting point for a visitor’s own evaluation; it is not a guarantee, endorsement, compatibility claim, professional recommendation, or product review.

How public research paths are assembled

STEP/1

Define the question

A guide or collection starts with a real selection question, not a keyword variation.

STEP/2

Record public evidence

We use public provider documentation, repositories, licence material, release information, and other source context where available.

STEP/3

Declare the boundary

We state inclusion criteria, exclusions, unknowns, and any material limits rather than implying completeness.

STEP/4

Connect the research path

We link visitors to relevant public categories, profiles, collections, and Decision Studio so they can continue their own research.

STEP/5

Review materially

A source change, a changed classification method, or a substantive editorial update can trigger review. We do not change dates merely to appear fresh.

STEP/6

Correct public facts

When a maintainer or visitor identifies a factual issue with a public source, we review the cited evidence and correct it when supported.

What Oryxen may show

Publicly stated product, source, pricing-classification, repository, licence, deployment, and freshness context where available.
A declared editorial selection criterion or decision framework.
Known unknowns and prompts to verify product-specific details with the relevant official provider.
Links to public sources when an editorial page uses them to explain its method.

What Oryxen does not claim

Fabricated ratings, testimonials, user experience, customer outcomes, popularity, market share, or backlinks.
A universal ‘best’ product, a guarantee of fit, current pricing, availability, compatibility, security, legal, privacy, or compliance outcome.
Private account data, saved stacks, private comparisons, notes, or private AI inputs in public pages, metadata, or schema.
A guarantee of Google ranking, AI Overview placement, ChatGPT/Claude/Perplexity citation, traffic, or conversion.

Request a factual correction

Bring the source, not a ranking request.

Use the Contribute action on Oryxen to identify the public page, the specific statement, the current primary source, and why the statement is inaccurate or incomplete. Oryxen can review a source-backed factual correction. It cannot promise placement, a positive portrayal, a ranking change, removal of an accurate public fact, or a link in return for a request.
